Lisse has an history of over 800 years and has an beautiful surrounding to go walking and biking. The starting point of all walking- and cycling routes is situated at one of the biggest churches of the bulb region: The St. Agatha Church.  From here you can see, walk of cycle the flower fields of the bulb region, the dunes, the sea and the lakes near Lisse. In the cozy village heart Lisse you can find a wide selection of shops and restaurants. Whether you are looking for a new laptop, fashionable clothes or an original present, you'll find it all in Dorpshart Lisse. Dorpshart Lisse also has a lot of restaurants. With many restaurants, there is always something to suit your taste. The Dorpshart also has a theater, cinema and a museum about the local culture and bulb growing industry.

During the opening of Keukenhof there are several events in Lisse. Below you'll find an overview of the events.

April 27: King's Day, the celebration of the Kings Birthday

On April 27 we celebrate the birthday of King Willem-Alexander in Dorpshart Lisse. The vrijmarkt (literally ‘free market’) gives everyone and their mum the chance to sell their second-hand things on the streets of Lisse. There are several activities organised by the commitee and the entrepreneurs of Lisse. 

Free parking in Lisse

When visiting Dorpshart Lisse, follow the signs "Lisse centrum". Entering the village you can best follow the blue signs with 'P-ring'. Through this parking route you quickly get to one of the parking facilities within walking distance of Dorpshart Lisse. In addition, Dorpshart Lisse also has two parking garages where you can park for free: parking garage Blokhuis (Meer en Houtplein, LIsse) and parking garage Madelief (intersection Westerdreef / Berkhoutlaan, Lisse). In Dorpshart Lisse, some parking lots have been designated as parking zones. You can recognize these parking zones on the signs and blue lines on the road surface. You may park a maximum of two hours in these zones and only with a blue parking disc.

The parking zone times are:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday: 08:00 - 18:00 uur 
Thursday: 08:00 - 21:00 uur (shopping night) 

How does it work?

Set the parking disc to your arrival time. Place your parking disc clearly visible behind your windscreen. You can now go on the road!

If  you don't have a parking disc, they are available at the Tourist Information (Heereweg 219 or Grachtweg 2A, Lisse) or various retailers.
